Arts & Crafts Hammered Pewter Comport by Hutton Sheffield c.1920 – English Pewter Tazza Bowl with Geometric Handles, 31cm Greek horse They had been school friendsA superb early 20th century Arts & Crafts style hammered pewter comport or tazza by Hutton of Sheffield, dating from around 19201930. This elegant two handled raised bowl displays fine craftsmanship with a rich hand hammered finish and geometric handles characteristic of late Arts & Crafts and early Art Deco design. The piece stands on a slender pedestal foot and has excellent balance and proportion, typical of Huttons refined English pewterwork.
